It looks like a glorification of female veil, which I do find disgusting - just as much as I find the objectification of female body disgusting. Both objectify female body in a sexist manner.

But what if it's her choice to wear it?

Out of curiosity, what do you think about housewives? Or, say, fashion magazines?

ugh, i hate religious-themed superheroes

Idk much about this comic, but I've seen it stated that the characters' religions are made ambiguous in some cases. So, I don't know how much religion plays into things.

The entire point of this comics is Islam-based Superheroes, what's ambiguous about that?

So, it looks to me, that it focuses more on culture and habits, rather than just religion.
I don't care for religious propaganda of any kind myself (ie in this case, Islam is the one true religion), but I haven't read this comic, so I'm gonna hold off judgement until I actually do -- and I'm willing to give it the benefit of doubt, for now. And rn, from all the pictures and info I've seen so far, it looks like not all of the characters are Islamic.

Honestly, I just think of it as "religious text material as a source of inspiration", like some do with Greek and Roman myths/beliefs.

Given the extremely wide range of superhero personalities, backgrounds, and attitudes towards evil-fighting, why just religious?

I don't have a problem with characters being religious in comics, but basing an entire line of comics on a religion is too much.

Why?

There's a ton of comics based around Christian themes or lore. Why not Muslim for a change?

I'm an atheist myself, but this is very relevant to my interests. I love studying religious books, films, etc and I'm a huge comic book fan, so... Gonna check it out. Thanks OP.
