(Anonymous) 2012-01-02 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)ever since I was a child I had this little phobia of people with mental disabilities, it had to do with me being bullied by a special kid when I was growing up, so I had a lot of troubles being even in the same room with one of them.
I started watching AHS with a little apprehension because of Adelaide, but her story make me realize that they are people too, or at least that not all of them were out to get me. So, I have to thank him because that show made me less of a awful person. It made me confront my fears.
