Yeah, lots of people have a visceral reaction to rape, especially fictional rape that's happening to someone else and isn't in anyway directly threatening to them. Brain wiring, and all that. So long as you don't go about encouraging rape culture, or enacting laws/policies that disempower victims while enabling rapists, there's no problem.

Thanks. I wouldn't ever do that.

It doesn't help that all the reaction I've seen to the scene in this movie is that people were horrified or uncomfortable with it while my reaction was the opposite. But the people who had my reaction probably are not talking about it because of the same fears I have.

And even those people who were horrified might have been aroused a bit. You can feel a lot of things at once.

This. Sometimes people have more than one reaction/feeling/thought about something and that's perfectly okay.

oh man, this was me. i had so many feelings all at the same time, like "this is horrible but ooh she's chained down and there goes my dubcon kink DAMMIT"

Allow me to point out one small thing, re- your outward reaction to the scene: was it a pervy grin followed by sliding your hands down your trousers and going to town? or was it feigned horror to fit in so no-one would suspect what a monster you really are?

My reaction was the former, but I suspect most 'normal' people just tend to mimic the reactions of those around them / the reactions they're 'supposed' to have. You may not have been as alone in the crowd as you think, is all I'm saying.

Did not finish reading your comment before posting -stupid- seems you've already come to the same conculsion as me. apologies for pointing out somthing you already know.
