I hate that people are being grudgy to you after all this time. That's just wanky stupid. I suppose if you can't just ban these people and not engage you can participate under a sock or something.

On the other hand, I've seen enough unsolicited concrit to know that a lot of people who give it really haven't a clue how to do so, or that it is more than just airing out what you don't like about something. The BNF (and her various vicious fans) might have been justified in being annoyed as fuck with what you wrote.

Before you give concrit you really have to be in the right philosophical place. Concrit isn't about you and your feelings. It's not venting your frustrations. It's in fact about the writer, her feelings, and a genuine attempt to help her be a better writer.

As a writer I know that being vented at because I didn't write the fic that someone expected or wanted is pretty tiresome. I'm pretty cool about it because I know that it isn't my job to cater to an individual reader, but not all writers are able to be cool under fire that way.
