Otherwise, how hard is it to turn the computer off or change usernames or something? It's not that hard to remove yourself from other people online, this isn't the same thing as teens being cyberbullied

Also, you're ignoring the psychological effects of creating a image of yourself on the internet. You've in effect placed yourself visibly in front of other people, even if no one can see you. It's like placing a
photoshoppedpicture of yourself in a hallway. You could ignore what people write on that picture, whether it be praise or a mustache, but most people won't and will feel compelled not to.no subject
