I have to wonder, what kind of yaoi have you read? I'm not exactly an avid reader, but I've only found one where the uke was super feminised (Okane ga nai). In all the others the seme and uke looked fairly similar, in regards of masculinity.

OP Well, the first one I read was Yellow, which actually did have rather equal-ish dynamics. And then I read a couple of others, with these awful seme/uke dynamics. Not everything was bad, of course, and I still love God Child (which is not yaoi, but come on, it might as well be), but I also think that my opinion is mostly coloured by yaoi-fandom. The stuff that was going on in Yugioh fandom, I don't even want to think about it.
