What part of fandom do you hang out in? Because I rarely see that. A lot of people hate Regina, particularly after that episode, especially since the Sheriff is such a popular character.

And yeah I don't see an issue with liking her as long as you know she's evil. But I'm also team Gold.

That's kind of how I feel. She's complex, and interesting, and I sort of understand a small part of what fuels her is a sense of loss, but a. she brought some of that on herself and b. until we find out what the hell Snow let slip that was such a big deal, I can't find sympathy for her. As for shipping? I'm generally not a shipper, and the 'brutal enemies get together in bed' trope is one I just can't ever wrap my mind around. I guess whatever makes fandom followers happy. To O.P Though, I understand where your coming from and I'm sorry that your fellows aren't doing a better job of seeing a character from a rounded point of view.

I think I only could have felt sympathy for her if Regina didn't remember being the evil Queen because until the Huntsman episode, we didn't have solid confirmation that Regina had done evil in the real world. In a way I was hoping they'd have Regina not remember at first because it'd make her a more complex villain, it wouldn't make her anymore justified in her actions but it'd be interesting to see her struggle with her real self.

But I would like to see her back story. I don't really do the dark ships myself either, I just like villains though because I like the stories.

I'm not either. Then 'That Still Small Voice' came. And I suddenly was shipping Regina/Emma like no one's business. I'm not the type for shipping enemies, I don't have strong slash goggles. But something about the two of them. I can't even explain it.
