(Anonymous) 2012-01-14 02:01 am (UTC)(link)But to be more on-topic, this American wishes Hollywood would back away from perfectly fine foreign films. I'm sick of finding out that a new movie coming out is actually a redo of a movie that's already been made, especially if it was originally done in English, so they can't hide behind the 'Americans won't watch movies with subtitles' bullshit. I like foreign movies. Some of my favorite films from the past couple of years were not made in the fucking USA, and I don't understand why Hollywood seems to feel so threatened by movies being made in other places.
