24: OMG SIGNED. (Though I admit I'm not an LOTR fan.) I thought I was the only one who was bugged by that! Seriously, what the hell happened to him? His NECK, it is HUGE!

(Anonymous) 2007-07-06 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
I feel validated now. XD Thank you.

[identity profile] zoom-gas.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
21. OH GOD I KNOW WHAT THIS IS but I forgot the name aaghfhgjh LOOKS SO FAMILIAR THOUGH!

1. Learn to play an instrument! It's very fulfilling, and you can just make up a BS answer like "I'm learning the violin because I'm a huge fan of string instruments" instead of "I love the violinist of Hamelin, so I learned how to play the violin!!". I'm the same way, I bought, and learned how to play an ocarina because of my old fangirling over The Legend of Zelda. (And I play a million different instruments anyways, so I don't have to tell anyone WHY I bought it, in truth. XD I just say I like Ethnic woodwind instruments, which is still true, hah.)

10. Go for it.

15. Me too. And wow, we like the same characters in Fire Emblem Sacred Stones/Path of Radiance. :O (Massive Pegasus/Dragon Knight fan is me.)

24. Yay, non-elitist LOTR fan! \o/ It's so refreshing hearing "I like the books, and the movies, and I had these reasonable issues with such-and-such". But now that you point out Elijah's neck... Oh my. :')

25. Yeah. Totally agree with you there. I never say that I like Zelda to all but my closest friends because ARGH. I know so many people who take the manga as Canon, and are yaoi fangirls without reason (Hay, I ~like~ slash and am holding back projectile vomit every time they mention Zelda slash.) But at least try to separate fandom from the games, Twilight Princess is a decent game. It's kinda of a Ocarina of Time 2.0, but I find the horseback battles, and Link having a bit of a personality something that makes the game worthwhile. And it's hideously easy. XD

28. Longcat is loooooooooooooooooong.

(Anonymous) 2007-07-06 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
24. As far as I'm concerned, the books and the movies are separate canon, and should be treated as such. I'm the same way with Harry Potter.

And his neck. ;_; It's so big.

23. MIDVALLEY. Man, I totally understand. Jazz music is awesome, though... Hard jazz, anyway. And he's so amazing in the manga, isn't she? ♥

[identity profile] pretentioustfu.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
That he is. ^_^

[identity profile] designer-ninja.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
25. You shouldn't let fans of a series spoil an excellent game for you. Why should their opinions matter? Also... a decent number of people believe that Zelda used magic to change her gender when she became Sheik, but that she's still Zelda. There's nothing wrong with thinking that she got more into disguise than just taping her chest down.

[identity profile] kinneas.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
Seriously. You have to magic hair and eyes for them to do that in an era before extensions and coloured contacts =\

22. Right, because Trinity Blood is a totally accurate and realistic portrayal of Catholicism.

STFU and let people have their fun, k?

14. Oooh, I love Aerith and I'm proud of it (I also like this pairing :). Maybe I'm weird, since I never understood what everyone thought was so great about Tifa.
22. In which world do you live? It's not like those things don't happen in reality.

[identity profile] fyretoppaaa.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
1. OH MY GOD VIOLINIST OF HAMELN. CAN I MARRY YOU FOR KNOWING THIS SERIES PLZ. *____________* ♥♥♥

2. *dies* Well, that makes those of us who stare at the icons we're trying to make for hours at a time even bigger freaks, doesn't it?

4. Do you mean canon or IC? XD 'Cuz playing canon in an AU game might get a little silly after a while. Point of AU is to branch out from canon, lol.

7. I keep having to resist the urge to do something like that. ;;; It doesn't help that I ship the pairings no one writes (or writes right *POMPOUS ASSING*).

8. ... :D;

10. XD! Good point. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT. (or at least coherent smut. er. or something. XD)

16. N'awww. ♥

18. FTW CHIBIS. XD; That's kind of creepy, even without the OOC factor.

22. ... *SHIPS PRIEST/PRIEST AND PRIEST/NUN UM* :D; *AND PRIEST/PRIEST/NUN UM* It's fandom for a reason? XD And I doubt the Catholic Church ever had supernatural creatures or androids in its employ either. ;O

24. LMFAO. XD

28. ... XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

[identity profile] puncture.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
22. yeah okay, trinity blood has fucking vampires and all kinds of ridiculous shit going and you want to discuss how priest/nun or priest/priest isn't possible/stupid. I'm pretty sure it's alot more likely than vampires :/

[identity profile] cresselia.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 12:30 am (UTC)(link)

2. I do the same thing.

Sadly I make most of my own icons so it's like I'm being arrogant too. :[ Not intentionally, but yeah.

10. How have I not heard of such games?

11. I would also hit it. *A*

26. Don't feel bad. I still like her too.

[identity profile] saave.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
5. Is that... Niles/ Frasier/ Eddie or just Niles + Frasier? o-o;
18. I always wondered who drew those... they are cute, but I fell out of that fandom a long while back.
22. That series bored me a lot >>;
24. EW GOD. I THOUGHT HE COULDN'T GET ANY WORSE BUT Srnlkgn NOW I SEE THE NECK. D:

[identity profile] micchi.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 12:35 am (UTC)(link)
25. It's been so long since I played OoT, but I don't think the Zelda/Shiek thing was really explained as more than "lol majikz". Regardless of what you want to consider canon, at the VERY least, Zelda was putting on the act of being male to hide her identity. I, personally, like to buy in to the theory that Zelda used magic to physically turn herself male instead of just taping down her tits. (There's also an issue with proportions, but ehn. That can easily be passed off as Link's Perception.)

But that could just be because I like the idea of a slightly-gender-confused!Zelda trying to sort out what she's feeling versus what's part of the persona she had to play for so long. What? I like identity crises.

[identity profile] teh-faolkitty.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
I am so writing a fic like that about She's The Man right now. 'Cause I'm dorky like that.

[identity profile] angelogdarknes.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
1. I watched the series, and felt so proud for being able to play not one, but three

2. I do that waaaay more than I should. And not only with my own; I randomly look up anime comms and check members profiles so I can browse through their icons.

10. I have that picture saved somewhere on my hard drive o.o

[identity profile] comiter.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
18: I totally agree there. Cute, but OOC. It is awful, but oh-so-amusing.

Did I just contradict myself?

[identity profile] avianthropy.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
21. I LOVED THOSE GAMES. I used to play them over and over and spend hours on the website reading all the characters' pages and saving their "treasures." My favorite was Nicole.

[identity profile] starchildorion.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
And get all the little secret gem things over and over. XD I'm sorry, it's been so long since I've even THOUGHT about those games.

[identity profile] cephiedvariable.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
2. I totally do that too. I pay for that damn icon space, you best bet I admire it!

Even sadder is that whenever me and one of my friends who is also an icon maker hang out together, we always invariably end up spending a good half an hour looking over each other's userpics and lol'ing. And then we surf LJ and judge other people icons.

UH, YOU ARE REALLY NOT ALONE.

[identity profile] quaedam.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
5. I was disappointed by what they did with that pairing as well--it had the potential to be so much cooler than it turned out. (And what the hell, I'd hit Niles/Frasier fic too if there were any. XD)

9. I couldn't say, really--I like tentacle porn *and* Davy Jones. ^^

20. The original *already* has rape, cannibalism, and wall-to-wall murder. . .what more could fanfic possibly do?

22. . .dude, in Trinity Blood, the Catholic church apparently canonizes leather-clad automatic weapon-wielding cyborgs and quasi-vampires, makes little boys pope and a woman cardinal (at least, that's what I assume Catherine is). :3 The Catholic church of that anime bears about as much similarity to the Catholic church IRL as Bridget does to a real nun.

(My favorite part of that anime's still the random guy named *Vaclav Havel*, of all things.)

[identity profile] chaoticchicken.livejournal.com 2007-07-06 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
2. I do it too.

12. This is the reason I draw out in public. I'd love to meet more fandom fans!

22. LOL THIS IS WHY MOST PEOPLE HATE CATHOLICS

24. ...I never even noticed his neck. But now... wow. :[

28. Word.

1. I squeed when I saw this was secret #1 on my f-list. VoH, yay! Go find an instrument that interests you and go for it!

11. Awww. I think he's adorkable, myself.

12. That's awesome. It's always fun to have fandom friends off-line. Being able to dork out in person is one of my favorite things ever.

16. SO. CUTE.

26. I love Azula BECAUSE she did those things. Other, less effective antagonists wouldn't have attacked their treacherous relatives, or would have waited for the hero to power up and THEN attack at their full power, BUT NOT AZULA. ♥

28. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG Cat!!!

Yes, I know the characters in this book aren't Catholic. I was raised as such, though.

Point is, this is not a new idea. Also, it's "its." :B </cheap grammar attack>
