Some people just don't think the TV series is very good, tone of it aside.

this. seriously, i hate the implication that movies are somehow dumber or more mindless than tv series.

i won't claim that the sherlock holmes movies are incredible pieces of cinema, but bbc!sherlock is hardly a more gritty and 'grounded' piece of media. heck, i'm a fan of the series and i still wouldn't call it any more than a fun detective drama.

Haha, exactly. Human Ipod!Sherlock was frankly ridiculous, and I didn't care for Moffat's "lesbian dominatrix who ultimately falls at a man's feet overcome by his manly rationalism" Adler at all.
