I don't even mind with Tangled at this point (I like the name now), but Frozen just makes it sound like it's trying to be like Tangled.

Yeah. It's not a great alternate title either. It sounds like a disaster or horror movie.

There is actually a horror/thriller movie called 'Frozen', which is probably why it brings those images to mind for you.

Huh. For me, it conjures up the mental image of what the mirror shards do to someone's heart. Also doesn't sound as misleading at The Snow Queen, since the Queen's not even seen except possibly near the beginning and then at the end. It's more about the best friend of the guy she kidnaps than it is about her.

But Disney's original plan was to have the movie focus on The Snow Queen rather than Kay and Gerda. Hopefully they haven't changed that too.

I'm going to have to agree with you. I didn't even know they were coming out with this movie and I'm already annoyed. The Snow Queen was my favorite story and to change a title to attract boys (who aren't going to see it anyway) pisses me off.

This, but honestly I can't decide if I think it's a good thing or a bad thing that they have this pattern to the titles. Bleh.

Kinda leads me to suspect it won't be 2d animation though.
