Actually, if I recall, the original British series did have incest between brothers just not those two.

Nope. It did "you can't see my daughter because you're the son I only just discovered I had" fairly recently, and there was the whole Frank/Karen thing, but I'm pretty sure there haven't been any brotherly incest storylines.
