Ngl, I'm super upset about this. I do not want another Tangled.

Also what is with the 'boy won't see this' bull; really Disney? Boys went to see and liked The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, etc. when I was kid. Has society gone backwards or something?

Eh, they may have seen them, but Aladdin and The Lion King were the ones most boys I knew growing up claimed to really like. I still remember a group of boys telling me that "The Little Mermaid" and "Beauty and Beast" were girl movies, and that I wasn't allowed to like "Aladdin" more than them because it was a "boy movie." Hell, if the lunchboxes in the cafeteria were any indicator, then these boys were right.

I dated a guy whose favorite as a kid was "Sleeping Beauty" because, as he put it, "the prince kills a FUCKING DRAGON." To be fair, he was born in 1984, so during the Disney Renaissance he was, like, so too old for that.

Haha, this is too funny! My (pretty much stereotypically masculine) boyfriend also admits to really enjoying Sleeping Beauty because of the "badass ending", he actually considers it his favorite Disney movie.

*shrug* All of my male cousins went to see all the movies with me and my girl cousins (we spent a lot of summers together), and we all memorized the soundtracks, sang the songs, played with the toys, no matter what the movie was. It was The Disney Movie That Summer, that was all that really mattered to us.
