(Anonymous) 2012-01-17 03:23 am (UTC)(link)Kiriko Nananan: Blue & Water
Takako Shimura: Aoi hana (I also really like her Wandering Son which handles transgender topics, though I guess it's technically seinen)
Yamaji Ebine: Indigo Blue & Sweet Lovin' Baby & Free Soul
Takeuchi Sachiko: Honey & Honey (autobiographical)
Hiyori Otsu: Clover & Mizuiro Cinema
Nanae Haruno: Pietà & Double House (also transgender themes)
Minami Q-ta: Not All Chicks Are Retards & several short stories
Those are some of my favourites. :) Most of them can be found on lililicious.

(Anonymous) 2012-01-17 02:42 am (UTC)(link)Actually, I looked this up, and it would appear that yuri has originated as shoujo/josei and nowadays has also crossed over to shounen/seinen. So it would appear that it's not firmly either, as a genre. Separate works of course fall under specific categories.

(Anonymous) 2012-01-17 03:58 pm (UTC)(link)YuriHime (jousei)
Tsubomi (seinen)
And I don't think the balance is actually tipped towards either of them. There isn't that much yuri manga, anyway.
