I like the names "Frozen" and "Tangled" WAY over "The Ice Queen" and "Rapunzel."
No, I am not a boy.
No, I do not hate feminine things.
Yes, I grew up on classic Disney princess movies like The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast.

I just think they sound better, in general.
"The Ice Queen" and "Rapunzel" just sound way too generic. It's not even girly. It's just boring.

It's The Snow Queen, and it's a classic story.

It still sounds boring, as opposed to Frozen. As someone said below, Frozen sets a tone, especially since I know the story and that Frozen directly references what the shards of the mirror do to the hearts they pierce. Snow Queen doesn't, and even then, the story is more about reaching the Snow Queen than the Queen herself.

Tangled also made me think of something whimsical and fun as opposed to Rapunzel where all I picture if a girl trapped in a tower and a prince who gets his eyes thorned out.

First, I think "what's in a name? A rose by any other name is still a rose." ( or something, I haven't read R&J for years now ) I don't get worked up with titles.

However, I agree. It sounds too unoriginal and generic "The Snow Queen" ( and I LOVE the Snow Queen, darlings, I do. ) However, Frozen sounds catchier, and that's what business is about. And we can't forget that there's an animated film called The Snow Queen about this same history. ( and it kinda sucks ). And they're retelling the story their one way. It's not just "The Snow Queen" it's "The Snow Queen - Modern Disney Way", so another name kind of suits.

But Disney's original plan was to have the movie focus on The Snow Queen rather than Gerda reaching the Snow Queen. Hopefully they haven't changed that too.
