As a straight man in the Hetalia fandom, and a roleplayer, I generally believe it's lack of interest.

I just find stuff aimed around pairings and shit to be boring? It's more of a girl thing.

As far a yaoi goes the way these 'men' are fucking portrayed is a great insult to people, in general.

The so called 'ukes' just act like weirdo chicks with dicks.

There's really no appeal, tbh.
