This makes me oddly happy that I don't do the fandom scene for all my shows (mostly because I have no need to read fanfics and such for most of it)...

Other times I feel really lonely when I am the only one of my friends who actually cares about half my shows and want to join the fandom just to see that I am not alone...

Oh and I feel sorry for you! It sucks to have stuff ruined because of other people!

You pretty much said everything I came here to say.

I don't really get fandom involvement. I read the occasionally fic, but mostly I just enjoy my shows. I suppose it'd be cool to get excited with other people now and then, but fandom just seems like so much work.

I don't even read fics for most of my shows, I just don't feel like I need more than the stories I get on the screen, I do miss someone to talk about it with though, but most fandomy people seem so serious, and I don't take stuff that seriously...

It helps that I have no talents whatsoever for anything remotely useful when it comes to fandom...
