To be fair, I think all the mormon elements were completely unintentional on the part of the author. If all you know all your life is one perspective of the spiritual, that is going to permeate your work. It is going to be especially awkward if you have no editing skills and believe your work is on the level of Romeo and Juliet and Pride and Prejudice (EXCEPT BETTER, BECAUSE YOUR CHARACTERS LOVE EACH OTHER MOOOOOOORE!!!11!), thus you have no method of critical and objective thought developed on your work.
