heee, it was pretty pandering. Though I'm not gonna lie, I don't mind being pandered to. The thing about this movie (other than [SPOILER} KILLING IRENE WTF WTF) that I didn't like was actually kind of hard to pin down, I couldn't figure out what it was until a couple of days afterward - there's no mystery in it. He knew from the very beginning that Moriarty was behind everything, so the whole movie was essentially a chase. A fun chase! But a Sherlock Holmes story with no mystery for him to solve? THAT'S JUST WEIRD. (LOVED Noomi Rapace though. jdrhglkfsnlhdfn I wish she'd had more to do but I was happy just to stare at her)

You can argue about that the mystery was what Simza's brother in this whole thing with Moriarty and what was Moriarty's endgame. Sure the chess game between Sherlock and Moriarty was the main focus but the mystery was there happening on the sideline and also moving the plot forward.
