What is with people in anime fandom always needing to bash people who do enjoy partying and alchohol? I was made fun of for not drinking in high school, too, but once you're out of it nobody really gives a shit. Not everyone who enjoys drinking at parties is "just like the popular kids in high school!!!". Also, if you don't like to drink, that's cool, but don't pretend that makes you morally superior.

It's part of fandom's passive-aggressive crusade against "cool" people (ie. "hipsters" -- whatever that means anymore)

On top of this, in reality, people who want to bully you will be mean no matter what you do.

When I was a virgin, I got mocked for that. Then the second I lost my virginity, the same people were calling me a slut.

Likewise, I'd imagine if there was bully who picked on you for abstaining from alcohol, they'd turn around call you a drunk the moment you did decided to drink.

I dunno, that's the just the way bullies have worked, in my experiences.

Hah, I just said this in the comment below you. You know what? I've drawn fanart, written fanfic, played video games, and gotten drunk with friends for fun. ITS POSSIBLE TO BE BOTH HOLY SHIT.

It's fine if people don't drink and it sucks with other judge because of that, but bashing someone for what they do because they bashed you for what you do fixes shit.

I think there is a HUGE difference between "gotten drunk with friends for fun" and "needing drugs and alcohol to have fun". One is a major issue that probably requires professional help.
