Beg your pardon for my gender assumptions, but the way I see it is that every woman on this earth (and certain populations of men and other gendered folk) has to live with the threat of rape, fear of rape, normalization and sexualization of rape that is our rape culture. Kinkifying it in your head is only one more way of processing the whole mess, so you've got as much right to that kink as any survivor. Also people who police others' fantasies are assholes.

i'm not a survivor but sometimes i have days where i just feel... very scared and hopeless and upset about being a girl and having to feel afraid all the time. and rape fantasies kind of make me feel better, like i have control over it. if that makes any sense!!

Feeling afraid all the time is something you do, not something you have to do. Not all women feel that way. Making that fear out to be some universal, constant, inescapable facet of being a woman isn't helpful.

Please explain where I haven't? oflittlebrain spoke of her own feelings. An Anon (you or a different Anon, can't tell) told her that her feelings weren't something she "had" to do (I feel that this statement needs clarification actually, I for one can't control my emotions at all. I can control how I express them, but not how I feel them.) and that making fear a universal fact of being a woman was not helpful. While, I agree with this statement in a general sense, I think it's a damn weird thing to tack on to someones post about their own personal feelings. I think that it would have been way more appropriate as a reply to the Anon *above* oflittlebrain. The way the comment was phrased and it's location in the thread gave me the impression that oflittlebrain was being berated for feeling scared *some days*.
