I'll never understand why it's okay for men to have a torture-porn fetish (just look at movies like Hostel or Cabin Fever, which are clearly aimed at men with their softcore porn and abundance of women being mutilated while nude)...yet it's apparently horrific as soon as a woman says she has a rape fetish.

Part double standard I'm sure, but part is that it's more acceptable when the kink isn't directly admitted. If a man who likes those movies said "Oh yeah, it's because I have a torture-porn fetish," people would not take it well. If a woman likes movies where women get raped, she'll probably get left alone if she doesn't say "It's because of my rape fetish."

I don't know, I've come across my fair share of guys who'll readily admit they find the torture-porn genre hot. Some even describe in detail the scenes they find sexy...usually ones that involve naked women strung up like pigs while they're being flayed/disemboweled/decapitated/etc.

Really? In my experience, those kinds of guys are always side-eyed. I mean, having a torture-porn fetish is fine, but describing scenes in detail seems kind of skeevy to me unless specifically asked...
