I thought it was just me who hated his guts. He's such a judgmental asshole. It comes with the territory of being a vigilante but still.....

No, it's not just you. I've thought he was a dick ever since I was first exposed to him through some animated batman program I saw as a child. It was missing context (I hadn't seen the full episode) but he'd just killed some kid's parents or something, and was basically telling him to deal with it 'cause it's not that bad. All I could think was, "This guy's the hero?!" When I later learned that his whole angsty spiel was centered around his own parents' murders, I was even less sympathetic.

Guy's a douche.
