I often have problems reading American comics because of the compression. I can handle more decompressed stuff because it's more in line with what manga does, but I can't stand one million text bubbles on one page. I like it spread out so I can see the flow of the action. Even after plunging through like... the entire original Claremont run of X-men, I still found it hard to follow in action sequences and found it an absolute chore to slog through the action.

Mostly I just don't like American comics because they're so goddamn expensive, though. :P
