Meh. I'm have to disagree with you here, OP.

Personally, I've never been able to get into manga much (despite quite liking a variety of anime adaptations), simply because I can't followw aht's happening. Panels bleeding into each other ... random words distributed across pages/floating randomly around characters ... The right-to-left format also throws me off quite a bit (though that's honeslty my own fault, so yeah, I'm just slow/have difficult adjusting, sorry).

Also, I feel like well-done comic character faces tend to have more personality than well-done manga character faces, because there are simply more details that can get put into a comic character face, because there's more of an attempt at realism, which gives more of a potential for imparting personality - there're colors, shading, texture, facial structure (more 3D-ness), etc.

But to each their own, I suppose.
