OP: they treated Hermione like the butt of the joke, I agree. If your friends are always treating you like this, try talking to them about it. Do not just drop their asses, because you must be friends with them for some reason. Weigh the reason; see if it's that important.

To everyone saying OP just needs new friends: I'm sure you've all stood up to your friends whenever they were being a dick, each and every time. But since there is such a thing as the type of person who likes to avoid confrontation with the people who matter in their life, I'd ask you all to kindly shut the fuck up. yeah ikr, I am a rather confrontational person but my first thought wasn't "lol y u whinin get new friends lamer" because some people either don't have the nerve/confidence/ability to stand up and confront or their friends MIGHT NOT DO IT ALL THE TIME, who knows.

Yeah, I was really surprised at everyone who's like "You need new friends!". I'm more inclined to think all those commenters need new friends if they think a friend is someone people would feel fine with just casually dumping and replacing.
