Anyway, OP... I'm not invested in these characters yet, since I haven't seen the show yet, so I can't say something like "I just want to learn about Korra!" I am attached to the Gaang, so in the beginning especially a few random cameos and references and flashbacks will probably make me happy. But I agree that too much of it, to the point of stretching plausibility, would be obnoxious. So, I guess I see where you're coming from.
