I think if his various horrific character hairstyles prove anything, it's probably that he's the world's most secure man.

But, at the risk of sounding totally shallow, he did kind of waste his peak beautiful years trying not to be beautiful. (And where the hell was he between Young Ones and Filthy, Rich and Catflap?) The New Statesman isn't even much of a consolation considering the writers didn't always seem get that that the way the story is set up, you're on B'Stard's side. I mean, of course he's despicable, but it's so over the top that it's way more entertaining and satisfying to see him win.

Anyway. Tangent. It's very sad IMO that he didn't do more 'serious' stuff on film when he was young, because he is a great actor and was more than pretty enough to land leading man roles. Dancing Queen was so fucking lovely. Too short, but lovely.

Yep nothing more ~romantic~ than a guy who stalks you, cuts you off from your friends, sits in your bedroom watching you sleep for hours, doesn't tell you where your own honeymoon is, calls your child an abomination then barely speaks to you for months because you're pregnant with a kid he doesn't want, etc.

Seriously, it's almost as if Meyer deliberately wrote a man who is everything women should watch out for...abusive, cruel, systematically cutting her off from friends and family, treating her like trash as soon as she's pregnant (I'm ignoring the fact that the baby wasn't human, because that shit was seriously creepy in how realistic it was - I know men who have acted like that when their girlfriends get pregnant. I've heard them say those exact things to their girlfriends).

The first secret I posted got wanked to kingdom come. I was called an insensitive douche and even an idiot by some. It took me lots of hours of lurking to realize why and now I sort of see the problems it had. Watching fandom - and fandom secrets - really helps. I've posted several secrets after and all were received well but they all could've taken the wrong turn had I messed up the wording like I did with the first one.
