New Anon here. I just wanted to say that I totally get what you're saying OP. I know all about how actually dangerous the stereotypes portrayed in Twilight are- how unrealistic their relationship is- how terribly unhealthy it is... But there's a part of me that would so love to be that important to someone else. To be so moved by someone else. That's why I watch stuff like Twilight, Sons of Anarchy, the Vampire Diaries- because part of me secretly wants what I'm watching. Wants a troubled boy, wants that big love. But Would I let Edward, or Jax, or Damon in my life for real- no way! But to be entertained by them- sure why not. It's conflicting as a feminist- but sometimes the inner 15 year old wants what she wants. So I get what you're saying. Don't feel bad.
