Myself, I hate it when fangirls take a straight character and turn them gay so they can have "hott buttsecks LOLZ TWU WUV" because they're "OBV meant 2 b 2gether!". The fact that fanfiction nowdays is mostly M/M (moreso than F/F, multi or F/M), and how NCIS, Buffy and Adam Lambert (among others)seem to be appearing in every single damn AO3 work... Yeck.

1) You lost all your credibility by using the term "hetfags".
2) You must be reading het written by fourteen year old girls whose minds are consumed by sex and boys if that's the main female characterization you've seen.

The main problem I've observed with het stories are stock plots where the guy contrivedly rescues the girl from death for no reason except to give them a reason to kiss, because said stories are written by people who don't know how else to bring two characters together. I have observed comparable problems with slash stories. It's not het that's the problem, it's bad writers.

While I think this is probably straight from Trollville and I disagree with most of it... I do think I've seen some anti-slash fans create Sues just because they don't like slash pairings. (Since the secret is Transformers, let me just say I'm thinking specifically here of that one fan who created a female OC to pair with Galvatron, while ranting elsewhere that pairing Galvatron and Cyclonus is icky because all that gay stuff makes them unmanly and they're supposed to be Big Manly... uh... Robots.)

And I also agree that the female Autobots in G1 are terribly lackluster. I do think female characters in various continuities are getting better, though they do tend to be a wee bit over-stereotypical (I like both Arcee and Airachnid in Prime, for example, but it's veeeeeeeery obvious what archetypes they're supposed to fit.)

It seems like you understand that it's not het in its entirety but only certain parts of het fans that act that way. The same with slash and femslash.

If you know that then you either only hate that rabid hetfans, or you just don't enjoy het couples and are using the bad fans as a way to justify it.
