OP here. Yes, I've been in fandom before. Since I was thirteen in fact. And I'm 20 now, so about seven years. Yes, I understand how big fandoms are, and how crazy they are, but the Sherlock fandom has far surpassed what I've ever seen. And I'm in the Glee fandom, so I've been in the middle of big fandom fuckery before. I do like the show a lot, and I have tried the Tumblr savior thing, but it did what others have said, and just blocked pretty much every post on Tumblr. I would unfollow them, but I'm kind of just waiting out the storm because a lot of them are my friends, and I do like the other stuff they post. I've just been frustrated lately with how it's basically take over the internet and otherwise. I'm glad so many people agree with me, because I don't feel crazy for feeling this way anymore! I'm glad to know that I'm not just some bitch and that other people feel the same.
