I don't hate it, but I feel where you are coming from. My tumblr dash is a constant stream of sherlock fangirling. If they were posting interesting things about the show, I wouldn't care, because I love the original sherlock stories, but it's a constant stream of "X character is hot" "OMG THEY ARE IN LOVE" "OMG THEY ARE FUCKING".

It's tiresome. I'd unfollow them but I'm friends with them all so I can't.

I think tumblr has a blackout function? You can stop posts from appearing on your dash by blocking a certain tag, like "sherlock". I've never done it so I couldn't tell you how, but I've heard people talk about doing it quite often.
