Ahhh, hold on a sec there. Writing her a song = romantic. Writing her a lullaby like she's a baby = QU'EST-CE QUE S'EST THE FUCK. Trying to protect her = romantic. Watching her sleep and taking the engine out of her car = TIME FOR PEPPER SPRAY. If girls didn't take it so literally I'd say it wasn't a big deal because it's just a fantasy, but they really, really, really do, so.

Speaking of 'trying to protect her', I'm confused on how standing in the corner of her bedroom staring at her sleeping all night is protecting her. What was he protecting her from in the first place, himself? He was always going on about how he was the bad guy, so that whole situation just made me think, wtf. Even if he was that concerned about Jacob, he could have played it straight by hiding on the edge of her front lawn in a bush and keeping a look out on nights when he thought something might go down. He's a freaking vampire, he could smell and hear things within a five mile radius and be there in five seconds flat. He never even needed to enter her house. Idk, just a little nitpick I've always had with that whole watching her sleep bit, but that would definitely be pepper spray territory, lol.

Ah, yes, but see, that would require logic. And honestly, while that concern is valid, it ranks very low on the totem pole of "wtf is this."

[identity profile] samsom.livejournal.com 2012-01-25 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
Completely logical. Even Spike had the sense to stay outside of Buffy's house.

Although she wouldn't put up with him standing in her bedroom and would have tossed him out. Head first. So that might have had something to do with him staying out there and I'll shut up now.

The image of hiding-in-a-bush!Edward is making me giggle more than it really should. But seriously. Edward in a bush!

[identity profile] kikkyo.livejournal.com 2012-01-25 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
Just imagine if he was running across the yard in that bush trying to be sneaky the way cartoon characters do!

[identity profile] merriman.livejournal.com 2012-01-25 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
This must be drawn and animated, and set to plinky piano music to denote tip-toeing. And the bush must sparkle.

"Shhhhhhh. I'm hunting wewewolves!"

[identity profile] kikkyo.livejournal.com 2012-01-25 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
LOL, I just totally read that in Elmer Fudd's voice. XD

I just can't help but picture the look on Bella's face when she wakes up to a big leafy bush flying through her window, because you know he's gonna try, at least once.

[identity profile] merriman.livejournal.com 2012-01-25 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
Now imagine it in Elmer Fudd's voice but with Pattinson's face. Framed by leafy branches.

And he'd be all "Don't worry, Bella! I'm just pruning your topiary for you!"

There's this illustration from a hilarious set of Twilight sporks (http://community.sparknotes.com/index.php/2009/05/22/blogging-twilight-part-6/).

All the chapter art for the book makes me giggle. ^_^
