...can I ask what they're doing in particular? So far, it doesn't seem to be filled with more/less crazy fans, weird kinks or vehement anti-fans than any other fandom.

I'm wondering if it's to do with the OTT fans going around putting graffiti saying "I BELIEVE IN SHERLOCK HOLMES" on walls and encouraging others to do the same.

Because...yeah, that is rather pathetic.

You wouldn't believe... THE worst part about this fandom is that almost nothing stays on the internet. For some reason some of the people insist on bothering the actors/writers/basically anyone involved with the show. Kinda like with Inception and Supernatural, only the actors aren't having any of it. So, y'know. Drama. Loads.
Y'know how Benedict Cumberbatch says he "doesn't like fandom"? It wasn't always like that.
