Nobody "jumped all over someone for using the term bitch" - it was simply pointed out that yes, it is a sexist word. And even if that pisses you off, it doesn't change the fact that it's sexist. Nobody is saying you can't use it, people use sexist/racist/ist words all the time. But it doesn't harm anyone to actually acknowledge the inherent sexism and misogyny of the word.

I'm probably missing the point, but:

Actually, there are people out there who do jump on others for using the term. Luckily, not in this thread, but the internet is full of crazy people some days. So if that other anon was saying that they were tired that it happens sometimes (which is how I read that comment personally), then that's a pretty valid complaint.

But otherwise, you've got a good point.

It's definitely happened before - I've seen people dogpiled in certain LJ communities for using words like "stupid" or "crazy". So people certainly get dogpiled for using the word "bitch".
