I love this ship, but why is most of the fandom completely crazy? It's just fan fiction, Jesse and Andrew aren't secretly boning. Also, Emma is fabulous and totally adorable with Andrew, so don't bash her.

Here's hoping Andrew finds a lovely girl, just to set the nailed coffin afire.

He's currently dating Emma Stone and they are really cute together, so I guess he already did :3 Of course, the tinhats just claim that it's PR for the new Spider-Man movie...

IDK and IDC what's up with these people at all, but it doesn't take a tinhat to realize that there are and traditionally have been showmances and closet cases aplenty in H-wood.

Oh, I'm not saying that it being a PR romance or Andrew being closeted is impossible, just that they are only saying it because they truly believe Jesse and Andrew are is TWU WUB and OMG THAT EMMA AND [Jesse's GF whose name I forgot] ARE SUCH BITCHES, so I can't take them seriously at all. Andrew and Emma are really cute together to me, but I wouldn't be shocked if they were for PR (though I would be if it turns out that they aren't at least good friends). I ship Jesse/Andrew, since the idea of them being a couple is cute to me, but I don't use it as an excuse to act ridiculous and bash their girlfriends.

the only reason i doubt it's just a showmance for the new spiderman movie is because of the sketchy way they got together. it's also the reason why i don't find them cute together, haha. idk idk he was with shannon for so long and then as soon as he got famous, it was like... welp, gonna just hook up with my hot a-list costar here, shannon who?

Oh Lord, I think I remember that. No, I mean, definitely, absolutely every fandom has its crazypants brigade, but I feel like the McFassyites (...?) are mostly just silly and easygoing because the boys themselves are so trolly and funny about everything. It is a very lighthearted ship. Jesse/Andrew appears to have some weird angst going on. Which is odd because with the movies in question (The Social Network/XMFC), Charles/Erik is FAR more tragic...but still. (dear god why am I analyzing this)

and yeah i agree. at least on the LJ-comms the McFassy supporters are all fun and giggles. I dont know anything about the Jesse/Andrew ship so i can't comment on that.
