I don't really have much to say on the secrets today (sorry), but I just wanted to comment on how much I hate name smashes for ships. I see 'em everywhere both in and out of fandom, and I just don't get the appeal. Zutara reminds me of a fruit drink, Brangelina sounds like deodorant, Drarry makes me think of excessive body hair, etc. They are often confusing and just seem so pointless to me.

The Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle version portrays the attraction/romance better and you can actually understand what they see in each other while watching it.


I can understand what you mean about the novel itself. It never impressed me that much and I thought Elizabeth and Darcy were both really annoying. The only character I felt any sympathy for was Mary because Austen felt she was too ridiculous and boring to give any consideration.

I've seen it's not just Kallen that gets crapped on in this fandom for being a potential love interest for Lelouche. CC and Shirley sure get a lot of crap too. I'm not a huge fan of this series but for the most part I thought all three girls were likeable, so it's a bit depressing that so many people only seem to care about who Lelouche may or may not want in his bed.

As for Suzaku the most common complaint I've heard is that he's just irritating as a character.

Well, I'm no Peter Pan expert, but I thought that was kind of the point, especially in that particular interpretation? Like, Peter Pan is supposed to be about growing up vs. hanging on to childhood or something, I feel that romance/sex would be a part of that... I only saw that movie once, when I was like 10, so I don't remember it very well, but I remember it being somewhat sexual too, or at least having romantic undertones... and I don't think 10-year-old me was THAT messed up.
