I don't know, I can see why people would assume that Soldier hates Medic...what with Soldier's whole Nazi killing spree and the fandom assuming that Medic is a Nazi and all. But people make their own assumptions about who everyone does and does not get along with, and that's fine.

I guess I kind of take a page from the dialogue...Soldier sounds genuinely thankful when Medic heals him. And Medic...well, I honestly can't think of anything off the top of my head on why people would assume he automatically hates Soldier, so.

Soldier is the only character who can prevent the medic from healing him at all. That's telling, symbolically, where crazy shippers are concerned.

This is true! I have a tendency to forget about the Equalizer. And as much as I'd like to say that an optional weapon shouldn't hold that much weight...well, "crazy shippers" and all.
