Oh god, I LOVED those songs when I was younger! And then I lost my CD.

I still have CD's, lol. I just bought the CD for "The Prince of Egypt"... I refuse to give them up! Plus the soundtrack wasn't even available on itunes.

You know, I think I'd rather not think about that. It's a wee bit too creepy. >>;

I don't have the songs, I think I lost the CD before I got my iPod (or maybe it was before I accidentally deleted my entire library that one time. Man, that sucked).

And OMG, I have the soundtrack for Prince of Egypt too! It's awesome.

And yes. It's a mixture of hilarious and creepy whenever I think of the technology the future generation will have no clue about. "You mean you used to have stuff that had music on tape? How did that even work without sticking?" "No no, it wasn't sticky tape, it was just, um, not sticky. I never learned how they did it. I remember my sister took some scissors and cut it up though! Mom was ticked."

Thank you for the PM though! I actually just bought a couple of the songs on Amazon. XD I started googling and found out they had downloads there. Thanks for reminding me about those awesome songs, I still run across music I used to have and always get a giddy feeling when I add it to my iPod. <3

I imagine that tape will always have applications in the real world. I mean, we would have to transcend our bodies and eliminate any physical stuff for tape to no longer be relevant. (Heck, I still use duct tape to fix my screen door to keep the cat from getting out. It ROCKS.)

That's why I use Sound the Bugle. My emotional state settles in sync with it gently and doesn't try yanking me from one emotional extreme to another. The sad section allows me to relax and kind of ride the sadness out, and when it gets triumphant, it's like it's inviting me to cheer up, not yanking me there by the hair. /personal TMI?

Yes, the soundtrack is amazing. I really loved the movie, too. But no one seems to remember it, or thinks it was boring. I wish the Nostalgia Critic would do a Dreamworks movie month after the Disney one so I can feel...I dunno, justified? He's probably gonna take the piss outta it, but I would like knowing that someone remembers.

I love it! My brother's got to see it when it first came out, and there was a horse in the theater! Like, and actual horse! I hope it was doing okay... ;_;

It would be fun to watch, ngl. And given the way he treated "The Prince of Egypt", maybe he'd like it?

Holy shit, an ACTUAL horse?! Did it have food and water? Was the theater hot?

I dunno...I think the popular opinion is that it's a dull and easily forgettable movie. He probably won't like it, maybe partially because of Bryan Adams. He had a bit of an issue with Phil Collins in Brother Bear and Tarzan, soooo...

I thought it was extremely realistic, beautifully animated, and the songs were lovely. But then again, I'm an animal lover and I've always loved the movie so I'm probably biased.

Nah, I get ya. I love Brother Bear, and Atlantis: the Lost Empire, but most people thought both were "blah" for lack of a better term, so yeah, I get ya. |D

Hah, that's true! It gets my blood boiling in a awesome 'I'm gonna kick some ASS' way. Though the song I go to for that feeling is The Cave by Mumford and Sons usually.

I suppose there should be different kind of classifications of pick-me-ups? Like, the 'let go of your bad feelings' pick me up, the 'bubbly sunshine' pick me up, and the 'I'm gonna kick some ASS' pick me up.

YES, classifications would be very helpful! XD For my "I can do anything I put my mind to" song, it would have to be Streets of Gold from Oliver and Company. "Bubbly sunshine" would be Topsy Turvy from Hunchback of Notre Dame. "Quiet determination" is Once Upon a Time in New York City, once again from Oliver and Company. My "I'm gonna kick some ASS!" song would be..."I'll Make A Man Out of You". God, that's such a predictable list, isn't it? ^^;

Actually, not predictable at all! And I <3 I'll Make a Man Out of You. God, whenever I have new characters in any story I force them to go through a training montage to that song in my head. IT'S AWESOME.

Let's see... the 'Do Anything' song would be 'Get Up' by Sisterchick and 'Go the Distance' from Hercules, and my Bubbly Sunshine would be 'Brighter Than The Sun' by Colbie. Oooh, and my 'Adventure time!' pick me up would be 'Belle, reprise' from Beauty and the Beast!
