I like collecting anime merch a lot more but...

When my friends tell me they'd rather buy clothes or makeup, it makes me wish I knew how to match clothes and how to put on makeup. It feels like I'm the only girl that missed out on that how to use makeup class and dress attractively.

But whatever makes you happy. Your friends are wrong for judging you.

Honestly, wearing what you think is attractive and comfortable is the most important thing. But to do that, you need to experiment and practice and have fun with it. Nobody is born knowing this stuff, we all have to find it on our own.

There are lots of makeup tutorials on Youtube! :) As for clothes, just figure out what kinds of clothing flatters your body type and which colors go well with your complexion (Google is your friend!). To keep things simple, black and white looks good with any color, and blue jeans look good with almost any top.

I missed the class too... though in my case it's like I skipped the class because I was more concerned with wearing what was comfortable than what was attractive. In retrospect, that was probably a bad idea. I was a walking fashion disaster for a few years and I probably still am to some extent.

I wish I could at least figure out how to put on makeup correctly. I must be doing something wrong, because any time I try, it's so uncomfortable.

There's YT vids by professional makeup artists. So far, I'm liking EnKore Makeup (http://www.youtube.com/user/EnKoreMakeup?feature=watch)'s vids. I've only seen a few--he has lots of them. He even tells you in the setting mascara vid that the difference between waterproof and regular mascara is the amount of wax (waterproof has a lot more wax in it). You can also find info by searching for tutorials: like, for ex., eyeliner application tutorial or whatever. There's lot of vids on this topic so you can probably find someone who explains things in a way you can understand it/find useful.
