I don't like moe anime because the sole point of these shows, as far as I can tell, is to carefully craft idealized female characters to appeal to men. The whole fetishism undertone is a massive turn off.

Well, I mean, I like some moe series like Lucky Star and Ichigo Mashimaro, because they can be genuinely funny and have decent character development. But I wouldn't exactly call it feminist.
