Please. Please let it be this. Two white men cohabiting and making lamp-shading jokes about their homoerotic tension - we've had that. Two series and two films of it with another series and probably another film to follow.

We do not need any more of that. If we're going to have another adaptation in as many years it's got to be different beyond "in modern times, in America".
