Notes:

To whoever submitted #21 and 22, they were above the pixel limit. Since it was just a bunch of white space, I fixed them for you, but just as a reference for everyone, next time that happens, we'll have to post just a link instead of the secret itself. So make sure that they're below 800x800!

1. Did you ever think maybe they didn't really know how to cosplay or maybe they felt self-conscious about it and just needed some encouragement?

2. Heck I feel that way with all my writing...that if it isn't original enough that no one will like me. Then I tell myself that most of the stuff I see online is complete crap anyway so I shouldn't be so hard on myself.

4. Heroes are usually boring. It's the villains who are the interesting ones.

8. I gave up on Stephen King a long time ago.

12. I have always thought that the story of Peter Pan was a really sad story...even when I was a child I felt that way. I always felt so sorry for poor Wendy at the end of the story when Peter told her she couldn't go to Never Never Land because she was too old. You know Barrie didn't really like the whole concept of adulthood.

17. Like it? I'm totally addicted to it!

19. I pulled out my copy of it the other night and intend to replay it.

8. Really? Aww. He's one of my favorite authors!

I use to like his work but then he went overboard. He needs an editor who will say to him, "Stephen you need to cut this novel down by a third."

1. You're assuming so much with that statement right there. Like maybe there isn't someone that this person has turned down because they don't cosplay. Or maybe there's someone that does cosplay that they used to date, but were unsupportive or mean about it. Or maybe there's never been anyone, and they just can't imagine themself with anyone but a cosplayer that they meet while cosplaying.

But it said specifically that they wouldn't date someone who doesn't cosplay. So if that person doesn't cosplay, chances are they wouldn't date that person. Imean, what if they met someone totally awesome? Does that mean they wouldn't date just 'cause that person doesn't cosplay?

And yeah @ grayout, Stephen King's awesome!

I think they were trying to say that in [livejournal.com profile] lostremnants saying,

Did you ever think maybe they didn't really know how to cosplay or maybe they felt self-conscious about it and just needed some encouragement?

she was assuming too much in thinking that they'd already dated someone like that, 'cause that question kinda implies that "you broke up with someone who didn't cosplay," when the original message might just have been like, "I wouldn't be interested in the first place."

I mean, I don't agree with it, but yeah.

(Anonymous) 2007-01-19 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, that's it exactly.

I don't agree with it either, but everyone's entitled to their opinion.

OK, I worded it badly. What I meant was that if you won't even consider someone who doesn't cosplay then you may be missing out on someone who actually would want to cosplay if they were introduced to it and shown how to do it.

If it's someone who looks down their nose at cosplaying then yeah, don't waste your time.
