27. Michael Jackson scares the crap out of me. But I have issues with your secret. "Micael?" "Paul?" Are you on a first name basis with these two men? (Well, "man" can only be loosely applied to Michael Jackson. I like to think of Obi-Wan Kenobi's famous line from A New Hope: "He's more machine now than man, twisted and evil.") It's always been a pet peeve of mine when people refer to famous people by their first name and their first name only (except in the case of celebrities like Madonna and Bono, who only GO by their first names) just because of their celebrity status.

Why shouldn't people refer to them by their first names? They are human (debatable in Michael Jackson's case). Always referring to them by their full names seems to elevate them from the status quo. They're not oh so important. So what if people act a little familiar on the internet? It's not like they'd run up to him in real life and go "Yo Michael! How's it hanging?" It not a big deal. Get over it.
