I'm not and I have absolutely no problem with 4chan's use of the word. In the specific context of 4chan, fag doesn't have its derogatory meaning.

Well, I'm not, although I don't think it should matter either way. I really wish people would stop saying this. Like your ridiculously restrictive, black-and-white way of thinking is the only reasonable point of view someone who's not privileged could have. It also seems dangerously close to disregarding someone's opinion due to their sexual orientation, and I cannot even believe you guys seem to be ok with it. Yes, straight people are privileged, but how is not even allowing them to have a fucking opinion on queer matters going to fix things? It's needlessly antagonistic, if nothing else.

Actually, that reminds me, 'queer' was until recently a homophobic slur, but now it's one of the most PC terms for "anything except straight". Why is that fine but 'fag' some word of unspeakable evil that can never change?

... I know several schools which change the name of their Gay Straight Alliance clubs to Queer Straight Alliance in order to be more inclusive. It was widely seen by the local LGBT community as a very positive action.
