4. As long as it's handled well I enjoy a good AU. There's a difference between alternate world and alternative universe though and sadly a lot of people don't get this. Throwing a bunch of fandom characters into highschool and making them vampire lords all the while retaining none of the qualities that made them who they were ... that's not AU. My own personal preference of AU is changing minor details that were crucial to the original storyline and playing with that, which seems to be exactly what you're saying as well. In other words, IAWTS.
11. Seriously, get a real job. I think this applies to anything fandom related. Just because you cosplay you're not going to become the next internatioally known cosplay model, you're not going to become the next mangaka because you draw anime, you're not going to be a best seller because some fans like your fic. Sure have fun on the side and use that to make a little extra money or whatever -- I do that, but I also have a career.

25. Since I somehow missed this one the first time. I know everyone's initial reaction is for you to seek therapy but I almost think I know what you're talking about -- not from personal experience but I think you're mostly dealing with sadist issues here, which should be more or less harmless as long as they're kept a fantasy. There are things people like in fiction that they would never, ever want to happen in actuality and as long as this is the case I'd like to hope it wouldn't be a threat to anyone.
I think everyone has a dark kink whether they admit to it or not. This apparently is yours.
Fantasy is generally harmless unless you try to make it a reality and if you have any urges to do that then I would suggest seeking some therapy for that. Like now.
