I first saw Hannibal (saw Hannibal before SotL) when I was like... 9 or 10, and even then my friend and I were complaining about how Clarice could reject a guy that bought her nice shoes.

Now that I'm older, the end of Hannibal makes me squee.

The young!Lector actor was just.. superb. I really enjoyed his arse face performance, seriously. - Let's watch it again tonight.

To be honest, I even had a crush on the actor in Manhunter for a while JUST BECAUSE he was Lector... Damn I need a book re-reading marathon and a Lector filmathon.

11. Auuuuuuuugh. I once knew a guy that drew like that and he was 24 and living with his parents and called himself a mangaka. He had like pages and pages of terrible written story he'd send to anyone that seemed remotely interested in manga and it was the most cliche shit ever -- a super special angsty boy angel with magic powers and his weepy damsel in distress. And the saddest part was he was seriously convinced he was an "artist" and going to be famous someday.

4. As long as it's handled well I enjoy a good AU. There's a difference between alternate world and alternative universe though and sadly a lot of people don't get this. Throwing a bunch of fandom characters into highschool and making them vampire lords all the while retaining none of the qualities that made them who they were ... that's not AU. My own personal preference of AU is changing minor details that were crucial to the original storyline and playing with that, which seems to be exactly what you're saying as well. In other words, IAWTS.

11. Seriously, get a real job. I think this applies to anything fandom related. Just because you cosplay you're not going to become the next internatioally known cosplay model, you're not going to become the next mangaka because you draw anime, you're not going to be a best seller because some fans like your fic. Sure have fun on the side and use that to make a little extra money or whatever -- I do that, but I also have a career.

4. Non-canon isn't my cup of tea just because I like things to stay the way they are because otherwise it feels wrong to me, but I don't thing it's OMGHORRIBLE like other canon lovers. xP I don't hate it, and I'll read fanfictions with non-canon sometimes. *shrugs*

4. Word. I think it's just that AU's are often seen as excuses for terrible OOC-ness and self/mary-sue insertion, for which I can't blame people. But non-canon stuff can rock pretty hard when done well. And this coming from someone who tends to follow canon very closely.

15. AAAAAAAAAAAH. AHASJKLFHADSKLJhd I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. THEY ARE MY FAVORITE BAND. I saw them live *___* and it was like a religious experience. Seriously. (Especially when they played the five-parter The Island. holy shit, that was just incredible.) Yeah, their style is changing a little, but that doesn't make them rock any less. ♥

Much as I like to watch Hannibal, the ending (and the whole film, really, honestly) just lacks for me... then again, the book isn't much better XD; Just because (from what I recall, and as dr_ghost's late night discussions may have swayed me to thinking) it seems so much like Thomas Harris going "Fine, you want a third book? I'll give YOU a third book! *fucks with everyone's heads*"

Silence of the Lambs will remain my firm favourite with the films I think, possibly just because that's the one I saw first.
