#4 is encouraging! I'm always on the fence about AU fic because 90% of the time it ends up being "BUT WHAT IF THEY WERE ALL HIGH SCHOOL KIDS?"

And yet, here I am, carefully planning how things would be different if episode 08 happened differently. lol and all that.

Yeah, that whole high school thing is why so many people usually think they suck, when I don't even considering that an AU.

I love you for wanting to write AU with little plot changes that alter things.
