11. There is absolutely not reasoning with people like this. If she's willing to throw away a friendship over her "career", then it shouldn't be much of a surprise. Many writers/artists do a ton of things before and even after they have success in what they "love", but they make many sacrifices for what they love and that can easily include family, friends, and jobs/career. If she's sure that she'll "make it", then maybe she will. If not, then maybe she'll realize that she needs to do something else first while doing what it takes to "keep her dreams alive". However, are you sure she really wants to be a writer/artist or does she simply want a "cushy" job with a supposedly easy lifestyle? Writers are self-employed and they can do their work as they see fit, but like I said, they pay a price for it.
