Lol. I think I knew her in another life. That name at least seems very familiar as does the notion that she could sell a VII sequel to Square.

As a bit of freelance artist myself, art cannot be learned. It's a natural talent and no matter how much you try to learn in art school if you have no talent to begin with you're not going to improve. Just looking at her gallery I've seen no improvement whatsoever. Yes, we all start somewhere and should always strive to improve ... but god, there's no hope here and to be 24 at that and actually thinking she could base her future off this. I'm light years ahead of her and I wouldn't dream of basing my future off of my artwork because it simply is not feasible unless you just happen to be lucky. It's very competitive and honestly the worst thing you can do in my opinion is go to art school. Everyone I know who ever graduated with an art degree did nothing with it and in my case it completely sapped me of any desire to draw or create for months.

Yes, if you enjoy drawing by all means continue to do so. I draw because I enjoy it and that's the best reason in my opinion. But you can't expect to base your future on this ... much less when you're talent ... or lack there of is this.

I admire you for actually trying to talk some sense into her however she seems delusional. What do her parents think of this decision she's made as she's obviously living off them and I can't imagine anyone wanting to commission her to do artwork for them.

Wow, I'm just sorry for you that she values your friend and opinion so very little.
